In defense of libraries...

Another posting that caught my eye as I catch up on stuff in my Google Reader, by Amy Goetzman on MinnPost. It touches on two items: a study that says that kids who grow up in homes, surrounded by books, have an academic advantage (maybe not so surprising); and the squabble the occurred after Neil Gaiman's appearance at the Stillwater, Minnesota public library.

And yet another one from MinnPost that says Agatha Christie's later novels suggest the onset of dementia (and that Christie may have been aware of that fact and placed clues to her condition within the text).

And congratulations to the Minnesota Daily being named the best college daily newspaper in America!
