Eugene J. McCarthy on UMedia Archive

We've been busy over the last months adding more material to the UMedia Archive, the University of Minnesota Libraries system for the delivery and management of digital objects and rich media. The collection we've probably worked on the most is the Eugene J. McCarthy Collection which includes audio and image files related to Senator McCarthy's campaigns for President of the United States in 1968, 1972, and 1976 along with other personal appearances and speaking engagements. Thanks to the great work of our intern (and later, volunteer) Anjanette Schussler we now have over 1,000 items posted in this collection. Much of this material relates to McCarthy's 1968 campaign but other items from his Senate career have surfaced as well including photographs with Presidents Kennedy and Johnson and legislative colleague Hubert Humphrey.
